Nyskaben is a newly formed nonprofit association of artists, arts educators, arts researchers and art enthusiasts.

Nyskaben creates events that gather artists, educators and scientist to enable a direct sharing of artistic, scientific and cultural research on societal problems.

VISION
 

We aim to raise awareness on art used as a tool of expression and a mediator of knowledge.

We want to create a platform where art is used to visualise, understand and disseminate the results of scientific, cultural and artistic research, while making it freely available to the general public in the process. 

Our approach to art mediation is based on the belief that art has the power to translate between disciplines and communicate complex ideas in accessible and engaging ways.

That’s why we recognize the importance of equipping artists with skills necessary to

effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts through their artistic creations. 

We seek to provide opportunities for artists to enhance their artistic skills and techniques through workshops and residencies with a focus on nurturing creativity and expanding artistic expression while encouraging experimentation. We emphasize interdisciplinary learning by encouraging artistic exploration of fields beyond their artistic domain. Through collaborations with other fields, art can give us insights into new disciplines and teach us to integrate new diverse perspectives into our lives.

Through our activities, Nyskaben seeks to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the world around us, encouraging critical thinking and empathy while promoting creativity and innovation. Whether you are an art lover, a science enthusiast, a history buff, or simply curious about the world, Nyskaben has something to offer for everyone.
